| We can make hapas using three
types of material (1) Woven polyethylene,
standard is 20 strands per inch (mesh size
about 1mm) but we also have 24, 32, 40 and
50 spi. (2) Raschel mesh which is a more robust
woven material with a rectangular mesh that
is 3 mm x 5 mm (3) Knotless nylon in a wide
range of mesh sizes from 2 - 50 mm. |

Nylon nets are particularly soft and easy on the fish; suitable for handling juveniles or ornamentals. Available in mesh size from to 1.3 to 30 mm. For pond seining the length of net should be about 1.5 times the width of the pond and 2 - 3 times the depth. |
